He’s from South Africa, she’s from Arkansas, and they met in a bar in New York. She said when she contacted me that they were doing the long distance thing for a while, and then after a few months he came to visit her and she “just didn’t let him leave”. Like, what?! SO cute!! Initially Alex and Scott were going to get married at the courthouse, but the day before they decided a lakeside elopement would be more their style, and it all worked out so well! After the ceremony we did end up running over to the courthouse for a few photos, and they looked so cute outside the very first walmart (right across from the courthouse), I had to snap a photo! Most likely the only time I will ever take a wedding photo in front of a Walmart, hahaha.
